The 2014 FIFA Club World Cup is a football tournament scheduled to be played from 10 to 20 December 2014.[1] It will be the 11th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup. The tournament will be hosted by Morocco.[2]
Host bids
There were four countries bidding to host the 2013 and 2014 tournaments (same host for both tournaments):[3]
In October 2011, FIFA said that Iran, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates all withdrew their bids, leaving Morocco as the only bidder.[4] FIFA officially announced Morocco as host on 17 December 2011.[5]

The tournament is expected to keep the current seven-team format.[6]
